BULK PICK UP

Saturday, April 11th to Saturday, April 18th

Spring bulk item pick-up will begin next week. Please have all items curbside for collection no later than Sunday, April 12th.

Items placed out after collection begins will not be picked up. GFL will complete collection April 13th - April 17th.

This bulk item pick-up is for appliances, furniture, and other household items. No construction/demolition debris, paint, chemicals, or items with fuel in them will be collected.

Dredging Project (New)

ISLAND OAKS HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION

To All Island Oaks and Sandy Ridge Canal front Homeowner’s:

The dredge project is slated to start on April 16th, 2026. Please remember that the dredge will take about six weeks and the canal may not be passable for boats for a good portion of that time. The good news is once we are done, we should not need to re-dredge for another ten years.

Many of you on the water are requesting additional dredge work around your property. The best way to accomplish this is to contact Brandon directly by text to his cell 910-540-5135 or even better as he works his way down the canal come out and chat with him on the spot. (His preferred option.) If you cannot be here during the dredge maybe a neighbor can help you out.

Finally, most but not all of you have paid your share for the project. If you have paid, THANK YOU, if not please pay up to Tonya our Island Oaks H.O.A. Secretary at: I.O.H.A. P.O. Box 2134 Surf City, N.C. 28445 or by hand delivery at 202 Sound Drive.
