Island Oaks Homeowners' Association was formed in May of 1993 after operation of the subdivision was turned over to the association members from the developer.  The Restrictive Covenants were recorded with establishment of Phase I and Phase II of Island Oaks subdivision, created initially with 89 lots.  Over time, 1 lot was added to the association and two lots were combined on two occasions to established the 88 present lots that make up the Association.

 

The association is governed first by the Restrictive Covenants, which have been updated by member vote on one occasion, and the Association Bylaws.  Both current documents can be accessed under the Covenants and Bylaws section of this web page.  A quick read of the Covenants will reveal that the beauty and surrounding habitat of Island Oaks, with access to the Atlantic and Intracoastal Waterway is the basis for all that is to be enjoyed will living or visiting Island Oaks.  Additionally, it is the strong history of community with the residents of Island Oaks that helps make this small part of paradise so enjoyable to all.
